Looe

Looe is a large picturesque fishing village in East Cornwall located where the East & West Looe river estuaries meet the sea. It has many restaurants and pubs for those wanting to dine out, a variety of shops and other facilities for an interesting holiday break. Looe hosts several festivals throughout the year including jazz, raft racing and the famous festival of lights.

Things to do

Looe is the home of the National Shark Fishing Association but if this sounds too adventurous you can take a boat for local fishing or a trip around Looe Island.

Looe Golf Club welcomes visitors all year and the spectacular cliff top courses at Whitsand and Carlyon Bay will be a challenge for all golfers. The Jack Nicklaus designed St Mellion is also a short journey away.

Walkers and bird watchers will enjoy the South Cornwall Coast path and the world-renowned Lost Gardens of Heligan and Eden project are easily accessible.

The whole of South Cornwall is an area of outstanding natural beauty and provides a wealth of activities.
